Lord, forgive our debts (Matt 6:12)

How much "debts" do we owe our Lord? and how much our debtors owe us. We usually associate 'debts' with monetary term. If it is monetary term, then how much do we owe HIM, can we repay HIM, and if it is not monetary term, then what are the "debts" that we owed HIM? Perhap our Lord Jesus may be referring to tithes and offering.
"Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, 'In what way have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings. (Mal 3:8).
Be it monetary or others. "Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury"; (Mar 12:42). It is our heart that our Lord looked at. We own HIM our whole life. All i can say is : Lord, forgive my debts and forgive our sins. I will end with this verse :
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. (Eph 4:32)

Are you in tune?

God is just like a song....some say that this song doesn't exist... Some love this song, while others hate it..now even amongst those who say that this song exists..they'd interpret this song with different perspectives....

• Some were so caught up with the technicalities of the song...that they've forgotten to enjoy the song itself!
• Some hear it for the first time and falls in love with it; enjoying every part of the song!
• Others would take some time before learning how to appreciate this song..

Now to me...it doesn't really matter what this Song is to you...the most important thing is... "Are you in tune with the Song"?

Living that breathe!

"It is taken for granted that all who are disciples of Christ pray. You may as soon find a living man that does not breathe, as a living Christian that does not pray. So be a living that breathe and a living Christian that pray". Be Blessed!

Walk with God

I was sharing with the saints yesterday the important of having a daily relationship with our dear Lord Jesus Christ. Not weekly, monthly or yearly as i do hear from people that there only worship God once a year. Did not me to mention which day was that.
To have a daily relationship with God means to have a daily walk with HIM ie Begin the day and End the day with prayer and thankgiving, tks HIM for all the meals, as He is our Provider. Turn to HIM in prayer if you do face some difficulties along the day.
One of the blessing that i have received from the above of having a relationship/walk with HIM was the voice and enjoying thru the experiences that i have in my daily walk.
Eg 1: Yesterday morning while going for the Lord's day meeting, Benette (mu younger son) was asking my wife the need of street light and my wife replied was : "it is important as it acts as a safety guide for the motorist." and at that moment, i recalled the Lord says: Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. (Psa 119:105). And that is why we need His words daily, is for safety. So much more when sometime we walk among the darkness.
Eg 2: Brought Bryan (my second child) to a barber shop. "How you want the hair style", "do you want to keep or cut the "side-burn" all that i replied was :short and cut the "side-burn" . All my son did was just sit there and cut. Just like a lamb. Without a word, he accept his father instruction and led the barber cut his hair. Of course, i would like my son to have a nice cut and look nice on him. That moment as i watch him cutting his hair, i was reminded that how good if i am able to be just like my son, act according to mine instruction. And so i pray that i can be a lamb before my God. Do all things without reasoning and murmuring whatever HE has prepared me along the way. Trust and obey, for there is no other ways. To be happy in Jesus, just to trust and obey. Be blessed!

Word of Wisdom by a Virtuous "Auntie"

"When we are told not to tell people, it is because we need to to respect the pple in subject. They may have told you first because you are part of the family/closer circle which is why they are comfortable to loop you in, as compared to others.

It's not about being a hermit, pretending not to know, don't hear, don't see, don't feel anything.

No joy, no happiness, no excitement, for the ppl involved, but learning a virtue.

God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth so that we listen more and speak less".

YOU decide

Praise from men or Praise from God ? you decide. One is by sight, one is by faith. One bring you above all men and God, one bring you below all men and God. One bring Pride to you and the other one bring Humble to you .
Remember : Therefore He says: "GOD RESISTS THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE." (James 4:6)
Lastly, one reward from men, and the other reward from our Heavenly Father. YOU decide?
"Teach me Thy way, O Lord, teach me Thy way; Thy gracious aid afford, teach me Thy way.Help me to walk aright; more by faith, less by sight; lead me with heav'nly light, teach me Thy way. When doubts and fears arise, teach me Thy way; when storms o'erspread the skies, teach me Thy way. Shine thro' the cloud and rain, thro' sorrow, toil, and pain; make Thou my pathway plain, teach me Thy way. Remember the Giver!

And the LORD God prepared a plant and made it come up over Jonah, that it might be shade for his head to deliver him from his misery. So Jonah was very grateful for the plant.(Jonah 4:6)

What i want to say is : Do not just thank the gift, but tks the Giver. What we have today, all the blessing that we have received, we have to tks the Giver. His name is called Jehovah Jireh (He is our Provider). So in future, when you are giving charity, if it is by cheque, pls do not "Blow"up big where we usually see in the media. And if they want to put your name on their top charity list, just tell them : "Praise the Lord, all that i have, is from my God and my Lord Jesus Christ, nothing to be boast about"
Remember, He is our maker, Creator and our God. Be Blessed.

Interesting experience

Last night, i had a interesting encounter while waiting for the lift to go home. I was being greeted by a young malay boy whom i do not even know him, but i guess it must be their holiday and he must have had a good time, and there follow by his sibling and his mum, and it feel does feel good, but before they finally came out of the lift, i heard his mum saying : "naughty ah, you all". Well they are just being happy and perhap being noisy in the lift (it about 5 children).
To my horror, as i was about to press the number "13" in order to reach my house, now i understand why his mum said :"naughty ah, you all". The reason for them to be happy and being greeted was because they have pressed all the floor. Which mean that the lift have to stop, open and close for every floor all the way to "13" floor.
That moment of me, well, of course, so many thots came to my mind, i guess you would have it too if you were to be me. But i choose to stay in the lift, and i turned to God and spend some time with HIM. And finally i have reached my house without cursing and complaining. Just another good and precious moment that our Good Lord had it for me to train my patience, and my tongue and of course, my "complaining" thot.
Lesson learn, in our life, especially while we are the "light" and "salt" of the earth. May we learn to take whatever it befall us. The hymn says : For i know whatever befall me, Jesus doeth all things well. All the way my Saviour lead me. Turn to HIM.

Water Therapy

"Water Therapy" is the newest word in my vocabulary, that is to have at least 4 glass (1.2 litres) of plain water to begin with in the morning. And i am now drinking the 1st glass. And i guess my beloved wife will smile when she read this sharing.
The reason behind this was that i was telling the brothers if that is a sickness that would that my life away, it would have to be : Kidney failure. I do not like to drink water and i have suffered twice having stone in my kidney. And the reason for me to take our brothers advice of having to have a "water therapy" is that if i do not take care of myself, how many i able to take care of other? and that remind me of one of my dear brother. : "Take care of your wife" i told him as they gone for holiday, but i have forgotten to tell him, :"Take care of yourself first, before you take care of your wife" and true enough, my dear brother fall sick.
Most of us who has taken an airplane and if you have listened to the safety briefing, you would have realized that in case of emergency, when the oxygen mask drop from the top and if you have children beside you, you have to put it on yourself first and thereafter you put it on the children. But somehow, many of us would have agreed that we should put it on to the children, right?
Likewise in our spiritual walk, before we help other how to walk spiritual, it have to begin from "YOU" first. Do not tell people how to walk if you yourself do not even know how to walk. Learn to pray before you tell people how to pray or pls pray. Ya, you may say that a soccer coach may not know how to play but he is able to coach. I agreed.
But this is a Christian walk before our GOD, and our Lord Jesus led by example.
To lead your small group, youth group or even the whole church, it has to be led by "Example".
What we need most today is not just simply advise, teaching or even lecture from you, but we need YOU to set a good example.
You have to live a Godly life before you teach your children to live a Godly living.
You have to love our God before you teach the youth how to love God.
You have to be part of the building before you teach the saints how to build one another in the church.
Just like Apostle Paul says "Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ". (1 Cor 11:1). Give a thought about our Lord Jesus, and you would agreed with Bro Paul saying: "Imitate Christ". Be Blessed!

Gossip beware!

I was fellowship with a saint regarding certain things where she says :"well, if i do not say, who know". Does it sound familiar to you : "hello, let me tell you a secret, pls do not tell anyone, ok", or you may think, it is ok, just you and me, no want will get to know it.

And so i recalled the verse that i had read couple of days ago, and it goes like :

"Even in your thoughts, do not curse the king, nor in your bedroom curse the rich, for a bird of the air will carry your voice, or some winged creature tell the matter".(Ecc 10:20)

And i also recalled the following verses :

"And the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out upon the dry land". (Jonah 2:10)

"Then the LORD opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?" (Num 22:28)

My sharing is: Our God knoweth all things. May we speak words of edification, encouragement and gossip less. Be blessed!

Just one hour

Praise the Lord for another wonderful prayer meeting that we have last night. Our Lord Jesus not only give me strength to pray but also spoke to me. It was thru a sister prayer : "Lord, this little time that we come together to pray........". Praise the Lord, it was at the beginning of the prayer meeting that she prayed. That moment, after a long and tired day, it was like our Lord Jesus spoke to me: "kok yong, you have spent sooo many hours doing sooo many things, yet you just cannot give me an hour to talk to ME?"
Yes! it just 1 hour, just 1 hour yet i cannot give my whole heart to pray. Forgive me Lord!
Dear saints, how much hours we are willing to give to other things, but just an hour of prayer meeting, we are easily defeated, not only we did not pray, sometime we even forget that that is a prayer meeting on Monday evening.
No, we have to raise up, dear saints, I pray that our God will give all of us a spirit of wisdom and revelation that our inner eye may be opened to see the important of this prayer meeting and if we come, is just an hour for home 2 and an hour and a half for hall 1.
My experience for this recent weeks is that if i put my whole heart to pray, the time passed very fast, and much more, i also experience that all the saints have also put their whole heart to pray too. We have a wonderful, encourage and a blessed prayer meeting, look forward to our next prayer meeting. May we be an elite soldier of Christ, raise up and pray. Be Blessed!
