You ARE salt and light of the world!

""Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
"You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven". (Matthew 5:10-16)

Walk the Talk

"Brother, long time never see you in the church, why? busy making money ah!, or is it better to say : Hi Brother, great to see you, how is things? hope everything is fine. I was sharing to a brother yesterday with what our dear Lord Jesus has revealed to me lately : Many portions of the bible alway split up into 2 portions, one talks about God and the other one, talks about men. So i told ; " Talk about God is to know God and His will. Talk about men is to do His will."

Jesus said to him, 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." (Matt 22:37-40). And our Lord indeed fulfilled it. He has glorified His Heavenly Father. He has done the will of His Father in Heaven.

What about us today, very often we heard such a statement : "huh, he/she is a christan?" do we glorified or shame God is our living? did we manifest our God in our living? how many saints have we stumbled with our living, action and our mouth especially ? lately i hear of a couple who has attended service for years yet they fight and they expect their children to love the Lord? what kind of message that we are trying to convey to our love one? We have heard His word and i believe many of us have also kept His word in our heart. I guess if we are more careful and mindful of who we are, "Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ" (2 Cor 5:20a). I truly believe we have the power to choose to live Christ in our living, He is "ABLE" to help us if we choose HIM. Walk the Talk. Be Blessed.

Our Lord is the Greatest

And Moses told his father-in-law all that the LORD had done to Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, all the hardship that had come upon them on the way, and how the LORD had delivered them. Then Jethro rejoiced for all the good which the LORD had done for Israel, whom He had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians. And Jethro said, "Blessed be the LORD, who has delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians and out of the hand of Pharaoh, and who has delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians. Now I know that the LORD is greater than all the gods; for in the very thing in which they behaved proudly, He was above them." Then Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, took a burnt offering and other sacrifices to offer to God. And Aaron came with all the elders of Israel to eat bread with Moses' father-in-law before God. (Exodus 18:8-12)
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (Heb 13:15)

John 17

Dear saints, to begin with. i tks the Lord Jesus Christ and all the saints' prayer for my family and my Jean. To update all of you with regards to my Jean, no surgery required for the time being but she has to put on braces (to help the straighten her spinal cord) on her body 20 hours a day and she has to wear it till she is 16 years of age. Shorter or longer period of wearing the braces depending on the condition of her back. Now she is 11 years old. All things give tks, pray that she will not be discouraged and continue to pray and strengthen by our Lord Jesus. And i am thankful that she has prayed every night and i pray that she will continue to pray and experience that our God is TRUE and LIVING.
Secondary, the reason for choosing John 17 was because i received much help from the Lord when i was disturbed by certain things recently and HE brought me to John 17 and after reading John 17, i was again, all ready to fight on together with my Lord to next phrase of my life. By the way, John 17 is a chapter full of " RED" letting, because our Lord Jesus was praying to the Heavenly Father. So pray that our Lord Jesus will give of us a Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation over the next few weeks to know the heart of our Lord Jesus. It is important to know our Lord and how HE prayed. By reading this above verses, you may know now why our Heavenly Father said, "This is my Son in whom I delight" & "This is my Son, hear HIM". Once at His Baptism and the other one at the mount of transfiguration. He is the ONE that know the Father's Will. To Glorify His Father and give eternal life. Praise the Lord for the eternal life to those who have believed in HIM. Be Blessed.

Not to forget His Goodness

"Forget NOT His Goodness" is all i beseech you, dearest brothers and sisters. As we were praying for my daughter, Jean last night during our prayer meeting (she has to visit a specialist this afternoon because her spinal cord is not straight, as a result, she has a curved spinal cord). Two things i felt during the prayer meeting that moved me to tear.
Firstly, saints prayer. The sincerity of their hearts that prayed for her touches my heart. This is my family. Praise the Lord. I really felt that church life is really a real family life. Only when you give yourself for one another, you will feel the love of one another.
Secondly, i was reminded NOT TO FORGET HIS MERCY & GRACIOUSNESS. I prayed that thru the progess of healing, Jean Low will not forget the Goodness that our Lord Jesus Christ has blessed and healed her. This is something that all of us has to pray for ourselves. We are just like the Israelites: stubborn, proud and stiff neck.
Just 3 days after crossing the Red Sea, they forgot the who was the ONE that opened the sea, they forgot who was the ONE who brought them out of Egypt, with some many miracles, pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night, yet, how often they have grieve and moved our God to anger. Many Kings in the old testament start well, but once they have been blessed by our Almighty God, they turn away to God and sinned against GOD.
So dear saints, this morning, with a heavy of heart, i really beseech you, NOT to forget who is the Giver in your life. Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. You may lost your loved one or you may be promoted, be it good or bad, believe me, HE knoweth all things because HE is the Potter and we are the clay, He is the Creator and we are his creatures. Be Blessed.

Believe HIM

"For what does the Scripture say? "ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS ACCOUNTED TO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS." (Rom 4:3)
"And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore "IT WAS ACCOUNTED TO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS." (Rom 4:19-22)
Another meaning of the word "JUST" is Righteous. He blesses the home of the "righteous". Do you believed that our Good Lord Jesus Christ will bless u? Look at Abraham, he believed and it was counted to him for righteous. But of course, if you look back again at Proverb 3, all those "do not", you may find it hard to fulfill.
"Me, not to jealous, not backbite, not to be selfish, not to complain, not to murmur.........how to survive in this wicked world?" Truly we are not able to do many of this because many a time, we are still in our flesh, but our Lord can. The question is "Do you believe?" In Galatian 6 says : We are a new creation. We should walk in the newness of life.
Wisdom in found in Christ and He is in you. All we have to do is to believe. Believe that He who began in us, will mould and transform us daily to be like HIM. All we have to do is simply to set our mind on HIM. Eg : The moment that "foul or unpleasant language" is coming out from your mouth when you are angry, you say :"Oh Lord Jesus". You call his Name. Try this and you tell me whether it's work. Do not belittle the Power of His Name. Be BLESSED !

Jesus is my GOD.

Moreover, the impact Jesus Christ has had in millions of lives continues unabated.

The French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte once said: "I know men and I tell you that Jesus Christ is no mere man. Between Him and every other person in the world there is no possible terms of comparison. Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and I have founded empires. But on what did we rest the creations of our genius? Upon force. Jesus Christ founded His empire upon love; and at this hour millions of men would die for him" (quoted by Frank Mead, The Encyclopedia of Religious Quotations, 1965, p. 56).

Historian Philip Schaff adds: "This Jesus of Nazareth, without money and arms, conquered more millions than Alexander, Caesar, Mohammed, and Napoleon. Without science and learning, He shed more light on things human and divine than all philosophers and scholars combined. Without the eloquence of schools, He spoke such words of life as were never spoken before or since and produced effects which lie beyond the reach of orator or poet.

"Without writing a single line, He set more pens in motion, and furnished themes for more sermons, orations, discussions, learned volumes, works of art, and songs of praise, than the whole army of great men of ancient and modern times" (The Person of Christ, 1913, p. 33).

Abide in the Lord

What do you do when your company hired a fresh grade and you who are of age and yet not a graduate? What do you do when your boss hired a manager from a reputable company and your know that you will be the next to take over the General Manager position of that company? what do you do when your boss's wife come to work in your company whenever your boss is oversea? , what do you do when you discovered that your friend score higher result than you as a result your dream of being first in school is? Or what do you do when your discover that your dad did not give you an equal inheritance compare to your sibling? Of course there are many more eg. if you think further the relationship with your neighbor. I guess, from the above eg and from my personal encounter and from other saints fellowship, we will put on a "Armour of Flesh" right? Is you go or i go, you die or i die. Otherwise, i may loose my job, i may lost my long waited GM post, my boss do not trust me and that is why he sent his wife to supervise us whenever he is outstation, i cannot be No 1 in school and lastly since i gotten lesser inheritance, then you, the rest who have more inheritance will take care of my parent. This are things which will and had happened in our daily life. Whenever our position where ever felt threatened, our mind will begin to plan "evil" to get rid of one another, some called it "Office Politic".
And yes, it is here to stay. Let us hear what the bible says:
A Psalm of David.
"LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the LORD; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.
耶和华啊，谁能寄居你的帐幕？谁能住在你的圣山？就是行为正直、做事公义、心里说实话的人。他不以舌头谗谤人，不恶待朋友，也不随夥毁谤邻里。他眼中藐视匪类，却尊重那敬畏耶和华的人。他发了誓，虽然自己吃亏也不更改。他不放债取利，不受贿赂以害无辜。行这些事的人必永不动摇。(Psa 15:1-5) Be Blessed.

Live out Christ that is in U!

I just recalled the above verses when i think back of the verses of Proverb 3. This is the second part of the Proverb 3 where it touches the practical aspect of a Christian, in fact, looking back at some of the other portion of the bible, there are very similar comparison where it begin with God and the other portion talk about the practical aspect of our living, "how to live out Christ if we are called Christian". eg: such as, the 10 commandment, the first 4 verses referred to God and the other 6 verses referred to people, the Book of Galatian, the first 4 chapter talk about the the laws and the True Gospel, but the last 2 chapter talk about practical living, etc.
We say we love God, so i pray that in our daily living. our life before our family, our colleagues and our friend, must be able to have a heart of giving, a heart to share, a heart to love to those who need our help. This is good works.
Paul said in the book of ACT : "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' " (Act 20:35) Be Blessed!

He is my Confidence

Dear Saints, 2 portions of the bible is what our Good Lord has shown me this morning:
Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. (Col 4:5-6)

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 5:8-11)

On one hand, we know that the evil ones will continue and Yes, he will continue to distract and seeking whom he may devour. He will also made us doubtful about the abilities of our Lord, and thus our faith may be affected too. But on the hand, sometimes it is us, who invite terror and trouble. "OUR TONGUE".

These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren. (Pro 6:16-19)

Therefore, let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. And as for sudden terror and wickedness, learn to resist the devil in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Learn to call upon His Name, please do not belittle the Power of His Name - "Oh Lord Jesus". He is able to save you. Remember? AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS THAT WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.' (Act 2:21)
And pray that thru all of these above, you may experience that our Lord is our confidence. He is my confidence.

Puppy Love

Puppy Love is an informal term for feelings of love, particularly between young people during adolescence, so-called for its resemblance to the adoring, worshipful affection that may be felt by a puppy. The term is often used in a derogatory fashion, describing emotions which are shallow and transient in comparison to other forms of love such as romantic love. (by wikipedia).

Well, i was chatting with a sister from Polytechnic yesterday concerning BGR (Boy-Girl Relationship). She was helping another sister (not meeting with us) who are lost whether should she accept a guy as his boyfriend. Furthermore he is a "Christian". I told her : "Almost everybody love Puppy. But no everybody love when it become an adult dog. The love for an adult dog is way more demanding than loving a puppy. It is more just a feeling or because puppy is cute".
Likewise today, many young ones (as early as Pri 6) began to start a relationship, do you know what they are doing? well if you would ask them, they will say "of course, i know". But for all of us who have walked this path before, we know that they do not know.
So i told this sister to tell that sister of hers, : stay as friend for the time being, perhaps to her, he is just a puppy, give herself sometime, perhaps after graduate, after spending 3 years together as friends, and if you still like him, then perhaps it is time to seek the Lord for a confirmation. Of course, our sister did ask her whether does she has marriage in mind? she replied :No.
Dear beloved, for those who have faithfully attended the YYP on the topic of Marriage, Pls, pls do not think you know already. You do not know till the day you begin your walk into relationship.
Many pple would not agreed that you must have a marriage in mind if you want to have a relationship. I do not blame them because human are selfish. They like they take, do not like they put it aside and choose for the other one. Who suffer? of course the party who take it seriously. I must stress it over and over, it is not just "christian" , but "christian who love GOD".
So pls do not take relationship lightly, for those who are seeking for one, and if you are still studying and you saw a "puppy", may i suggest you to wait and be friend, just friend (no holding of hands), if he/she is arranged by God for you, rest assured he/she will be yours. For those who have already started and if you are still in secondary, or JC, may i suggest that you do not spend too much time on the phone or doing so much things that you neglect your study. Imagine what happened if both of you fail your "O" and "A"? or what happened if one goes on to JC and the other repeat? and if you do not have marriage in mind, may i suggest you to keep it at a distant for a time being. Stay as friend.
I believe that it is all in the Good Hand of our Lord Jesus Christ, to be single or to be married, we just have to entrust our life to HIM, He will made all things beautiful in HIS TIME.

Psalm 4

A Psalm of David.
Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? Selah
But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him. Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the LORD. There are many who say, "Who will show us any good?" LORD, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.
You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;
For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety. (Psalm 4:1-8)

Ask Wisdom

And that is the reason why Solomon asked nothing from God except "an understanding heart, to judge thy people, to discern between good and bad" (1King 3:9), so, likewise, that is the reason why Paul prayed that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of him, (Eph 1:17). We really need HIS wisdom and not our own wisdom to walk on this earth, cause HIS wisdom will excelled all the wisdom of this earth.
"And God gave Solomon wisdom and very great understanding and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore. And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the sons of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the nations round about. And he spoke three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five. And he spoke of the trees, from the cedar-tree that is on Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of cattle, and of fowls, and of creeping things, and of fishes. And there came of all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom".(1King 4:29-34)

Be Blessed

This morning i just want to say a few words : That is "Do not just read thru the above verse and that is about it, if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Gal 5:25), therefore do not walks in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but we have to delight in the law of the LORD, And in His law we meditates day and night. And you shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever you do shall prosper. (Psalm 1:1-3). Be Blessed.

Clothed with humility

Do we despise and detest our earthly parent chastening and correction? why we do? And for you, how do you react to your parents after you have been chastened or in the mist of correction? you "shut your ear", "saying :ok,ok,ok". For the older ones, you argued, quarrel and finally you walked out of the house. I guess all of us more or less have gone thru this stages of our life, but when you becomes parents yourself, like myself, father of 3, then you begin to understand why your parent has to chasten and correct you while you are young. I recalled a verse in the book of Job where Job says concerning Jehovah:
Does it seem good to You to oppress, to despise the work of Your hands and favor the designs of the wicked? (Job 10:3)
Do you think that we, parent would like to chasten our children for no reason? The Lord says : whom HE loves HE corrects, likewise, whom we loves our children, we corrects. Be the chastening and correction from our dear Lord, parents or even teachers. The most important things is to have these few things: "Heart of Repentance, Heart of Learning and a Heart of Loving. Of course, you need the fruits of the Spirit to assist you. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law (Gal 5:22). We all will have our shared of being chastened or being corrected, be it you are the one chastening or being chastened, because the Head of every man is Christ.
Remember : Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "GOD RESISTS THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE (1Peter 5:5). Lastly, We all desire to be delighted by our Heavenly Father, don't we?
