Puppy Love

Puppy Love is an informal term for feelings of love, particularly between young people during adolescence, so-called for its resemblance to the adoring, worshipful affection that may be felt by a puppy. The term is often used in a derogatory fashion, describing emotions which are shallow and transient in comparison to other forms of love such as romantic love. (by wikipedia).

Well, i was chatting with a sister from Polytechnic yesterday concerning BGR (Boy-Girl Relationship). She was helping another sister (not meeting with us) who are lost whether should she accept a guy as his boyfriend. Furthermore he is a "Christian". I told her : "Almost everybody love Puppy. But no everybody love when it become an adult dog. The love for an adult dog is way more demanding than loving a puppy. It is more just a feeling or because puppy is cute".
Likewise today, many young ones (as early as Pri 6) began to start a relationship, do you know what they are doing? well if you would ask them, they will say "of course, i know". But for all of us who have walked this path before, we know that they do not know.
So i told this sister to tell that sister of hers, : stay as friend for the time being, perhaps to her, he is just a puppy, give herself sometime, perhaps after graduate, after spending 3 years together as friends, and if you still like him, then perhaps it is time to seek the Lord for a confirmation. Of course, our sister did ask her whether does she has marriage in mind? she replied :No.
Dear beloved, for those who have faithfully attended the YYP on the topic of Marriage, Pls, pls do not think you know already. You do not know till the day you begin your walk into relationship.
Many pple would not agreed that you must have a marriage in mind if you want to have a relationship. I do not blame them because human are selfish. They like they take, do not like they put it aside and choose for the other one. Who suffer? of course the party who take it seriously. I must stress it over and over, it is not just "christian" , but "christian who love GOD".
So pls do not take relationship lightly, for those who are seeking for one, and if you are still studying and you saw a "puppy", may i suggest you to wait and be friend, just friend (no holding of hands), if he/she is arranged by God for you, rest assured he/she will be yours. For those who have already started and if you are still in secondary, or JC, may i suggest that you do not spend too much time on the phone or doing so much things that you neglect your study. Imagine what happened if both of you fail your "O" and "A"? or what happened if one goes on to JC and the other repeat? and if you do not have marriage in mind, may i suggest you to keep it at a distant for a time being. Stay as friend.
I believe that it is all in the Good Hand of our Lord Jesus Christ, to be single or to be married, we just have to entrust our life to HIM, He will made all things beautiful in HIS TIME.
