Contentment

To all who are in Rome (Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Stuttgart etc .), beloved of God , called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom 1:7). The reason for me to highlight " Bread" and "Fish" is because i remembered our Lord Jesus Christ prayer : "Give us this day our daily bread".(Matt 6:11) & the following verses : "Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content . But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows". (1 Tim 6:6-10)
And that was the reasons that i alway ask myself, what was i been asking, seeking and knocking. What about you, what have you been asking, seeking and knocking? Man has "unlimited needs and wants" or rather our "wants" is always more that our "needs", right? If the word "blessing" ONLY mean "$" to you, then i am afraid you have to look into HIS word again. You would realized that i always end with "Be Blessed", i do not mean "Be Rich".
If you are pursing your dream to be rich, to have a big house, a big car, a posh island country club etc.....it could be your own goals or it could be because of your neighbor, your colleagues, your friend, or even the bros and sisters in the church are rich, prayed that your faith will not be strayed away by Temptation, harmful Lusts and Greediness, which many have fallen.
May our Good God grant all of us spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of HIM. (Eph 1:17) and have a heart of contentment, Be Blessed! my beloved saints.
(* i will be away for the annual church camp and will only be back on the 5th Dec 07. Meanwhile, pls, pls remember to read the bible daily, K :)

Give Tks with a grateful heart!

Dear saints, as i sitting here pondering over the above verse, i ask myself this question. What did i ask, seek or knock for? and what happen if my asking, did not answer. Seeking, did not find. Knocking, did not open? should i blame God for not listening to my prayer? or should i thank God that He has heard my prayer and whether will my request will be fulfilled or not, i still give thank with a grateful heart. Because:
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. (Psa 8:3-5) and To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: He has made everything beautiful in its time. (Ecc 3:1&11a), Be Blessed!

Consider yourself !

Consider your own temper, selfishness, anger, ways of criticizing your colleagues, friend and even your brother & sister in Christ. Above all, what is your living before God and men, just before you look at other people weakness. Is just like a pot calling a kettle black. Dear saints, who are we? we are sinner saved by Grace. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast". (Eph 2:8-9)
No only we like to boast, we also loved to look at other people weakness and what we do, we will say : "Tks God, i am not like that person, temper so short, etc.". There was the saying: "when you point one finger at other, the other four finger of yours are pointing at you". And i will end with the following verses :
"This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness". (Eph 4:17-24)
Lord Jesus, i pray that each day you lead us to learn more of you. Lord i tks YOU that YOU are always so full of loving-kindness and YOUR mercy are new every morning. Teach us to look and consider at our weakness before we look and judge others. May YOU NAME be Glorify on earth as it is in Heaven. Be Blessed!

Disciples of the Lord

Dear saints, Praise the Lord, we have completed Chapter 5 & 6 and we are moving on to Chapter 7 of the book Matthew. This is the continuation of our Good Lord Jesus Christ speaking on the mount. Looking back, how much do we practice or be a doer the word of the Lord? Chapter 5,6 & 7 speak of our daily living before God and before men, and most of them speak of our pride, our old self. "Self Glory" is the word. Matthew 5-7 are words that was spoken to HIS Disciples. "And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: (Matt 5:1-2). So, as a disciples of the Lord, i will end with the following verses :
"Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall." (Matt 7:24-27)

Lesson of Faith

Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? (Matthew 6:30)

Dear saints, do not be mistaken that our Lord liken us to a grass of the field where HE is able to clothes them and on the next day, HE threw into the oven. It seem that we likened to the grass of the field, which are not important in HIS eye. What HE meant is that EVEN this so called the one of the least important in HIS eye compare to us, HIS children, our Good Lord still take care of them, what about US? This is the lesson of faith. We as HIS children, we must believe in HIS Words. "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Roman 10:17). May our Good Lord Jesus Christ open our eye of faith to walk. More by faith and less by sight. Lastly i will end with this verses :
Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Heb 11:2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
Heb 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Observe with attention!

I was reading Isaiah 41 - 47 last night, and if you do have the time, you can count how many times our God repeated over and over again with this word :"I AM GOD, I AM the LORD, I AM HE ......" Why HE need to repeat so many times? as the above word says : "Observe with attention". And if you were to "observe with attention", you will realized that we always turn to ourselves saying : "i am able. i can......", but all that bring is cares and worry, isn't it?
I remember a hymn which says: "At the cross, at the cross when i first saw the light and the burden of my heart rolled away, it was there by faith, i received my sight, and now i am happy all the way." Our Lord said "It is finished", do you understand what did the Lord had done for all of us, what i have to say is "Go, go and observe with attention what our Good Lord has done for us." Be Blessed !.

YOU are Precious !

Matt 6:25-26
Worry : G3309 Thayer Definition:
1) to be anxious
1a) to be troubled with cares
What are you worry about, anxious about, troubled about? exam, career, children, family...etc. Having to chat with so many saints, i realized that many of us are full of worry. But Praise the Lord, the Lord Jesus Christ say :
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Phil 4:6-7).
Prayer is not to ask God for something, but to tell HIM. Many of us thought that by prayer, i will receive. Yes, the Lord will grant to you according to His time, He made all things beautiful in His time (Eccl 3:11). Can you imagine when a kid ask from you a match-stick and we give him. Kid do not see far, but for adult, we see far. Likewise, our dear God know when to give us.
Look at us today, look at our Lord prayer, "give us this day our daily bread", what are we having, what are we wearing, you look back the years, count your blessing, name them one by one, surely you cannot denied that our Lord Jesus did not bless you. And if is true, why are you still worry. In all things, give thank with a grateful heart. We are all His Precious, and i will end with the followings verses :
Psa 16:2 O my soul, you have said to the LORD, "You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You."
Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Be Blessed!

He is our Treasure!

treas·ure (trzhr)
n.
1. Accumulated or stored wealth in the form of money, jewels, or other valuables.
2. Valuable or precious possessions of any kind.
3. One considered especially precious or valuable.

What is your treasure? For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.(Mat 6:21). So while you are still storing or accumulated your treasure, i pray that your heart still has room for our Dear Lord Jesus Christ. He is our Treasure and only His reward is eternal.

We Trust The Seasons, Why Not God?

Question : We Trust The Seasons, Why Not God?

My replies :
" Seeson can see, God cannot see. We need to have a eye of faith 0-0 to see GOD :)

Lord, increase our faith!!

Good Tree and Bad Tree

Antonyms or the opposite of "forgive" : despise, detest, dislike, hate, loathe; avenge, redress, revenge. Therefore if you do not settle quickly, the "seed" of trespass that your friend, siblings, parents, brothers or sisters in the church, your colleagues or even your superior has done on you will grow to a tree. The Lord said : Good tree will bear good fruit, bad tree will bear bad fruit. SO, you can imagine what kind of "fruits" that you will be having. Remember, we are the Salt and Light of the world.
No one say it would be easy to forgive someone, but when we fix our eye upon Jesus, i pray that you will realized how much more
we need our Lord Jesus to forgive us for our trespasses. So if you want HIM to forgive us, we have to forgive other. Lastly, i will leave you with the following verses :
Bad Tree
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Good Tree
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
