Different kind of Blessing

"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. " (Matt 5:10)
This is what i told a brother where he was being "yelled" loudly by a security guard when we went to put gospel tracts at the car window screen at a shopping mall. We were told that if we do not stop, the management will call the Police. So to keep the testimony, we leave that shopping mall. But Praise the Lord, we did not walk back to meeting hall, we moved on to other building and by His Grace, we completed it. Plus some gospel tracts into the letter box. Put/Give the gospel tracts and believe that TODAY, someone will have have a seed of Christ plant into his/her heart. And our dear brother has received a special blessing from God today.

Glory be to God!

Psalm 119:105

Psa 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

Wonderful verse…the word is a lamp, we must apply it in our lives, and then it becomes a light to our paths. Unless we walk according to His word, it will remain a lamp. We must carry it as we walk and then the path will become clear. The lamp is eternal for the oil never runs dry….

Amen

Temptation : Motive and Intention of the Evil Ones.

Temptation

Theme : Motive and Intention of the evil ones.

The Origin of the fall of satan.

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, Lucifer, son of the morning! Thou art cut down to the ground, that didst prostrate the nations!

Isa 14:13 And thou that didst say in thy heart, I will ascend into the heavens, I will exalt my throne above the stars of *God, and I will sit upon the mount of assembly, in the recesses of the north;

Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High:

The Temptation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mat 4:3 And the tempter coming up to him said, If thou be Son of God, speak, that these stones may become loaves of bread.

Mat 4:4 But he answering said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word which goes out through God's mouth.

Mat 4:5 Then the devil takes him to the holy city, and sets him upon the edge of the temple,

Mat 4:6 and says to him, If thou be Son of God cast thyself down; for it is written, He shall give charge to his angels concerning thee, and on their hands shall they bear thee, lest in anywise thou strike thy foot against a stone.

Mat 4:7 Jesus said to him, It is again written, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Mat 4:8 Again the devil takes him to a very high mountain, and shews him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory,

Mat 4:9 and says to him, All these things will I give thee if, falling down, thou wilt do me homage.

Mat 4:10 Then says Jesus to him, Get thee away, Satan, for it is written, Thou shalt do homage to the Lord thy God, and him alone shalt thou serve.

The temptation of man.

1John 2:15 Love not the world, nor the things in the world. If any one love the world, the love of the Father is not in him;

1John 2:16 because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

The Comparison of the fall of satan/ temptation of our Lord Jesus/Man

Satan (I will)

Jesus Christ

Man

Ascend to the heaven

Speak as a position as a son of God : The temptation of pride.

The lust of the flesh

Exalt my throne above the stars of God

Command to His angel as a position of a son of God : The temptation of pride

The lust of the eye

Sit upon the mount of assembly, in the recesses of the north

Give HIM the kingdoms of the world and their if HE worship satan.

The vainglory/ Pride of life

Ascend above the heights of the clouds

Be like the MOST HIGH

The origin/evil intention of satan:

1) The fall of lucifer

a) He wants to be Lord and God

  • Isa 14:14 I will be like the Most High:

  • Mat 4:9 if thou wilt do me homage (Mat 4:9 if you worship me.)

  • Mat 4:10 Then Jesus said to him, "Be gone, Satan! For it is written, "'You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.'"

b) He shall be called satan (accuser)

  • 1Ch 21:1 And Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.

c) He is in control of the world

  • 1John 5:19 the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

  • Mat 4:8-9 Again the devil takes him to a very high mountain, and shews him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory, and says to him, All these things will I give thee if, falling down, thou wilt do me homage.

d) Father of all lies

  • John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

2) Satan's works toward man and believer after his fall.

a) He is a tempter

  • Job 2:9 Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die."

  • Mat 4:3 And the tempter coming up to him said, If thou be Son of God, speak, that these stones may become loaves of bread.

b) He is a accuser

  • Zec 3:1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.

  • Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

c) Enemy toward God thru sin

  • Rom 5:10-12 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.

d) Desire evil

  • 1Co 10:6 Now these things took place as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as they did.

  • James 1:14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.

e) To tell lies : John 8:44

3) Satan's motive toward believer after his fall? (Individually and Corporately).

A) Individual

a) To draw/fall away from God

  • Mat 24:10 And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.

  • Mat 24:12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.

  • Luke 22:3 Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve.

b) Want us to sin

  • John 8:11 And she said, No one, sir. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

c) To be like him(satan)

d) Not to reign with God

  • Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy he who has part in the first resurrection: over these the second death has no power; but they shall be priests of God and of the Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

e) Not to inherit God's kingdom

  • Gal 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are fornication, uncleanness, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strifes, jealousies, angers, contentions, disputes, schools of opinion, envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revels, and things like these; as to which I tell you beforehand, even as I also have said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit God's kingdom.

B) Corporately

a) Division

  • 1Co 1:13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

b) Contentions

  • 1Co 1:11 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe's household, that there are contentions among you.

Take time to behold HIM

After serving the Lord full time for more than a year, i discovered that many Christian do not "behold HIM" often, and this prompt me to send this hymn to the saints.

a)What does it mean to behold Him?
Heb 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Our walk on earth as a christian begin with faith and we will end with faith, it where our faith will turn to sight, seeing HIM and the New Jerusalem (New Heaven and New Earth) coming down to earth. "To behold" is to see HIM using the "eyes of faith" and not our naked eye. By faith, we are able to talk with HIM, walk with HIM, and i believe by reading your testimonies and of the others, truly we all know how to behold HIM. But as to how? it take personal experience, and that is why there are so many testimonies by the saints testifying that our Lord has heard their prayer or even see the miracle. The moment we turn to HIM, by prayer or calling His name, we see HIM, and that is my testimonies. Praise God, i am able to behold HIM daily because "the just shall live by faith".

b)What does it mean to abide in Him?
John 15:4-5 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Abide in Him mean to be in His present all the times.

c)What does it mean to feed on His Word?
2 Tim 2 :14-16
But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

To feed on His Word is to let the Word of God hid in your heart that you might not sin against the Lord. To feed on His Word is to mediate in His Word and He will lead you to the paths of righteousness for His Names sake ( Psalm1:2, 23:3 and 119:11).

d)What does it mean to wait on His presence?
Psa 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Isa 40:31 but they that wait upon Jehovah shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not tire; they shall walk, and not faint.

To wait is to let the Lord have the pre-eminent in our life and believe by faith that He will renew our strength each day. To wait is to let this wonderful Saviour to hid our soul in the cleft of the His rock that shadow a dry and thirst land.

e)How do we actually practically do all this?

Gal 6:18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, dear saints. Amen.

Take time to behold HIM!

Take time to behold Him, speak oft with Thy Lord,
Abide in Him always, and feed on His Word.
Wait thou in His presence, submissive and meek,
Forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek.

Take time to behold Him, the world rushes on;
Spend much time in secret with Jesus alone.
By looking to Jesus like Him thou shalt be;
Thy friends, in thy conduct, His likeness shall see.

Take time to behold Him,
let Him be thy guide;
And run not before Him whatever betide;
In joy or in sorrow still follow thy Lord,
And, looking to Jesus, still trust in His Word.

Take time to behold Him,
be calm in thy soul,
Each thought and each temper beneath His control.
Thus led by His Spirit to fountains of love,
Thou then shalt be fitted His mercy to prove.

And That is a Promise!!

My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

Closer to HIM.

Though you hear nothing, He is Speaking. Though you see nothing, He is Acting. With God there are no accidents. Every incident is intended to bring us closer to HIM.
