A good old ancient hymn

Not so in haste, my heart!
Have faith in God, and wait;
Although He linger long,
He never comes too late.

He never comes too late;
He knoweth what is best;
Vex not thyself in vain;
Until He cometh, rest.

Until He cometh, rest.
Nor grudge the hours that roll;
That feet that wait for God
Are soonest at the goal.

Are soonest at the goal
That is not gained with speed;
Then hold thee still, my heart,
For I shall wait His lead.

Finished the Race, Finish it!

"Dearest HEAVENLY Runner, when the road is long,the burden is heavy and feel like giving up......... CLING ON!
Oh runner, when the race is won, you will run into HIS ARMS and received the CROWN.

Mindful of many waiting to run, destined to finish what you've begun.

Millions before you cheering you on, Dearest HEAVENLY Runner, finished the race, finished the run."

Treasure your parent :)

"I called her : "mum" after 25 years, just before my mum went to be with the Lord", shared by a brother during the memorial service last night. He has not called "mum" for over 25 years although i believe he is about 50 years old or late 40. While fellowship with him in the afternoon, he shared with me that how much his mother would want to spend time with him but he was busy. I do also know a family where only the younger daughter (adopted) and her husband called her mother " mother" or "mum". The rest of the sibling called her by her name. Why this is so? i do not judge. But it is definitely good to call our GOD: "ABBA FATHER"

This morning i do hope that, beside calling your parent, i do hope that all of us will treasure our parent and do spend time with them. For those who are in the "bad" term with your parent or in-law, i do pray that our Lord will help all of you to reconcile back to each other.

One of the secret to made your spouse happy: You suggest to your spouse to Invite your in-laws out for a lunch or a dinner. I tried and it is good. My wife is happy, so does my in-law :) Be Blessed

Blessed be the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ

With our tongue, we bless God and we curse men. And some even cursed GOD.
Jas 3:9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God.
Psa 115:18 But we will bless the LORD From this time forth and forevermore. Praise the LORD!
Job 2:9 Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!"

Dearest saints,
Despite all had happened to Job, this is what Job does :"And he said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD." (Job 1:21)
Further more, this is what Job told his wife :"But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips." (Job: 2:10)

Today, even if we are walking in the valley of the shadow of death, pray that we will not sin with our lips but learn to say : "Blessed be the Name of the Lord." Be Blessed.

James 3:10

Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

Do not have an "unequal" eye!

In a world, when it comes to money, fame and status, "Connection" and "Networking" seem to be inevitable. But this should not be happened in the church. This is a house of prayer and not a house of business. "If you buy this policy from me, i will offered 10% of my commission to the Lord" told to a brother by a ex-pastor who became a insurance agent.
Dearest saints, pray that we will not fall into the snare of the evil ones. Be it rich or poor, in our Lord's eye, we are His Beloved. Do not use "unequal eye" on one another. Be Blessed!

James 2:2-4

For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, "You sit here in a good place," while you say to the poor man, "You stand over there," or, "Sit down at my feet," have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?

Be Blessed

While walking with a brother this morning, he told me a wonderful piece good new, of course, it did not come easy. He has to go thru "sort of" a valley of the shadow of "death" before the Lord brought him to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; (Exo 15:27). Glory be to GOD!
And that remind me of my own experience while my dad went for his 2nd "balloon" surgery for his heart recently. My dad was asked to sign a form where he was told by the doctor that in this surgery, there are 3% chances where it will go wrong, causing him to suffer stroke or heart failure, and it will be a 2 hrs surgery.
At the moment, to me, it was like a clean sheet of paper having a "tiny black dot" on it. That "black dot" signified that 3% failure in the surgery. Although i pray and pray, but somehow i was still drawn to think of that tiny "black dot" instead of the other 97% successful. Full of fear and anxiety :) And after waiting for over 4 hours instead of 2 hours, that tiny black dot seem to be bigger and bigger. After waiting for almost 5 hours, finally, my dad was push back to the ward. The reason for the delay? well, it was due to a emergency case that the doctor have to attend to before attending to my dad :( and praise the Lord, my dad is well and normal now. But i believe, thru this, my dad got to know a name : LORD JESUS CHRIST!., to me, i was once again being trained by the Lord with regards to how much do i really cast my cares upon HIM, and believe that whatever it is, Jesus doeth all things well.
Dearest brothers and sisters, Isn't this what we are going thru daily. We just like to focus on that tiny "black dot" on a piece of clean sheet instead of the other 97% of the clean sheet. Oh, how we need the Lord Jesus Christ to preserve and sustain us daily. So often, we are lost when we face with so many problems in our lives, full of fears and anxiety.

May we learn to cast our care on HIM and continue to believe in HIM what comes may. You know, saints, before the Lord brought my dear brother to "Elim" where there were wells of water, while he was in the midst of the valley, althought he felt sad and despair, he did not blame or give up the LORD, yet he continue to pursue and before he realised, he reached not one but 12 wells of water, not one, but 70 palm trees. Be Blessed!

Surely HE is among us.

"Knowing" that Papa love him, surely whatever he ask papa, Papa will say "Yes", especially so if that day he behave so well before Papa.....So one afternoon, Bryan (my son) asked me : "Papa, can i use the computer?" having to see him so confident that say: "surely Papa will be "Yes".
I replied: "NO", and immediately he replied "Huh............" and of course i gave him the answer for saying "NO"
He asked me a question and i answered him. Be it Yes or No to him.
Today if we behave well by reading His word and pray and serve faithfully, and we made a prayer request and seemingly the answer or replied was "No" or "Negative", do you take it as the Lord did not hear your prayer or do you take it as the Lord has answered your prayer and HE is saying "NO"?
Do you take "NO" as a answer from the Lord? and that is my concern for many saints today.
If you see that "No" is the answer, i believe you will still pray such a prayer : "Lord, YOU know that it is hard for me to receive this reply, (be it rejection in jobs application or no bonuses, no promotion or even no pay increase), but i thank you for being here with me. I believe whatever had happened, YOU know what is best for me. I will continue to trust in YOU and continue to let YOU lead and direct my path."
But if you do not see that "No"is the answer from the Lord, you will become hopeless, lost and you will begin to wonder and
gradually the next question you will asked will be :"Is the Lord among us or not?"....what HE never seem to answer my prayer request. Why whenever, i ask, HE never grant it to me.
Is not that i say 'NO' to Bryan for the fun of it or just to agitate him, is that HE has not finish his homework and i do not like my wife to scold him. Likewise, i do not believe that will our LORD has the time to make fun of us or to agitate us, right?
Dearest saints, may we continue to believe in HIM! Be Blessed!

Exo 17:7
So he called the name of the place Massah (tempt) and Meribah (contention), because of the contention of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, "Is the LORD among us or not?"

Teach the children how to pray

I was amazed by the verses that i read this morning Gen 21:15-17, Hagar lifted her voice and wept, but our God heard the voice of the lad (his son, Ishmael). Do you see the important of teaching how children to pray to our LORD Jesus Christ. Many of you may think that Ishmael is so young, how could he pray? but if you look at the subsequent verses that i have provided, Ishmael is over 13 years old. It is good to teach them how to pray when they are young, instead of saying:"papa or mummy will pray for you". Otherwise, they will grow up never know how to pray. Be Blessed!
Gen 16:16 Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to Abram.
Gen 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.
Gen 17:19 Then God said: "No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.

Gen 21:15-17

And the water in the skin was used up, and she (Hagar) placed the boy under one of the shrubs. Then she went and sat down across from him at a distance of about a bowshot; for she said to herself, "Let me not see the death of the boy." So she sat opposite him, and lifted her voice and wept. And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, "What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.
